Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Our center offers patients hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) treatment. We are the only hyperbaric facility in Southern Nevada to address life-threatening conditions 24 hours a day.
What to expect with HBOT
HBOT delivers 100 percent oxygen under pressure in a large, comfortable chamber. Patients can relax while listening to music or watching television. The patient breathes normally, increasing the amount of oxygen in the blood.
HBOT treatments are typically prescribed five days a week for about one hour each day for 20 days or longer. The level of treatment depends on your plan.
Benefits of HBOT
HBOT provides patients with many benefits, including:
- Activating white blood cells to fight against infection
- Helping blood carry more oxygen throughout the body
- Bone repair
- Tissue salvage in burns
- Nerve cell regeneration
- Healing of hypoxic wounds
- Viability of tissue flaps
- Increasing the elasticity of red blood cells
- Promoting healing in tissue
- Reducing edema
- Suppressing autoimmune responses
