Current visitor policy

Effective August 2022

Adult Hospital visiting hours are between 4:30am and 9:00pm overnight stay begins at 9:00pm.

  • Med-Surgical patients are allowed four visitors at a time, children under the age of 18 may visit with a guardian, two family members may stay overnight if the patient is in a private room. No overnight visitors for patients in a semi-private room.
  • Critical Care rooms are allowed two visitors at a time, children under the age of 18 may visit with a guardian, one family members may stay overnight if the patient is in a private room. No overnight visitors for patients in a semi-private room.
  • Adult ED visitation is limited to 2 visitors 24/7

Sunrise Children’s Hospital visiting hours are between 4:30am and 9:00pm; overnight stays begins at 9:00pm.

  • Pediatrics, L&D and MIU are allowed four visitors at a time during the day, siblings under the age of 18 may visit with a guardian, two parents/guardian/designated family members may stay overnight.
  • NICU visitation is limited to four designated visitors (including parents/guardian) for the duration of the patient stay, two visitors at a time 24/7, No overnight stays or sibling visitation.
  • PICU/CICU are allowed two visitors at a time during the day, siblings over the age of 12 may visit with a guardian, one parent/guardian/designated family member may stay overnight.
  • Pediatric ED visitation is limited to two visitors 24/7

Hospital entrance screening

To reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses, we are continuing to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to better protect our patients, staff and you.

We have limited our entry into the hospital so that our team is able to screen everyone for travel history, fever or respiratory symptoms.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, you may be asked to reschedule your hospital visit until you are symptom-free.

Our emergency room is still open and receiving patients. If you are experiencing an emergency, please proceed to the emergency department entrance.

Thank you for your patience and support in reducing the spread of germs and protecting the health of our patients, staff and you.

Testing information

The health and safety of our patients is our top priority, and our hospital continues to be a safe place to receive care. Multiple patients have asked or requested information on what to do if they are sick, or have COVID-19 concerns.

  1. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or proceed to our Emergency Department.
  2. If you are presenting with potential COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your physician for instruction on medical care and potential testing.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
