The treatment and management of
infertility
in women may involve lifestyle changes, medications, and surgery or a combination of these three approaches.
The goal of treatment is to correct anatomical and/or hormonal abnormalities, when these treatments are not appropriate or they fail additional reproductive technology may be considered. In some cases, treatment strategies will not be successful or a couple may decide not to continue treatment. Adoption remains an alternative for couples seeking children.
