First Year Hospitals Recognized On a State-Wide Basis
Las Vegas, NV — U.S. News and World Report released its annual hospital rankings today and Sunrise Hospital/Sunrise Children's Hospital is the only hospital in the state of Nevada recognized for meeting the publication's standards for high performance! In addition, the following services at Sunrise were recognized by U.S. News as high performing:
This is the third consecutive year that U.S. News has recognized Sunrise Hospital/Sunrise Children's Hospital for high performance. The past two years the publication recognized exceptional hospitals within metropolitan areas. This is the first year that U.S. News has recognized exceptional hospitals on a state-wide basis too.
In determining high-performing hospitals, U.S. News factors in publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, infection rates, patient safety measures, responses from medical specialists to opinion surveys and other factors.
Congratulations and thanks to all of our staff, physicians and volunteers for their commitment to quality care. It has made us the Best Hospital in the State of Nevada according to U.S. News! And this recognition follows our selection as the Best Hospital in Las Vegas by the readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper earlier this year!
