Sunrise Hospital is ranked #1 for a second consecutive year
Las Vegas, N.V. – July 19, 2011 – Sunrise Hospital has been ranked the number one hospital in Las Vegas in U.S. News Media & World Report’s 2011-2012 Best Hospitals rankings. This is the second consecutive year that Sunrise Hospital has been recognized in this category.
"This honor is attributed to the commitment the physicians, staff and volunteers at Sunrise have to provide the highest quality care and service to our community," said Sylvia Young, President and CEO for Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center." This recognition along with the Consumer Choice Award for the past 15 years reaffirms the community’s preference for Sunrise Hospital."
This is the latest recognition for Sunrise Hospital. In addition to the consecutive U.S. News recognitions, Sunrise has also been the Las Vegas Consumer Choice award winner for 15 consecutive years and has received the HealthInsight Quality Award acknowledging high performance in the care related to publicly reported quality measures.
The rankings cover 16 medical specialties and all 94 metro areas that have at least 500,000 residents and at least one hospital that performed well enough to be ranked.
