Patients now have greater access to Sunrise Health facilities and medical information with the iTriage healthcare decision tool

Las Vegas, NV—(April 28, 2010) – Sunrise Health today announced an expansion of their average ER Wait Time posting services to smartphone users. Sunrise Hospital, MountainView Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital and Sunrise Children’s Hospital will now have their average ER Wait Times available on the iTriage® smartphone application developed by Healthagen, LLC. To access those times, Las Vegas Valley residents can download iTriage for their iPhone® or Android™ smartphones, or access it through any Web-enabled device at www.iTriageHealth.com.

By deploying the iTriage smartphone app, Sunrise Health gives immediate access to detailed information about its hospitals, including specialties offered, location maps, social media, community services and average ER Wait times.

With the introduction of this premier level of service, hospitals of Sunrise Health join a growing number of hospital systems across the country to utilize this interactive technology. This technology empowers consumers to evaluate symptoms, learn about the possible causes and find appropriate locations for treatment. Additionally, Las Vegas area residents will have onthe- go access to hospital average ER Wait Times with iTriage.

“We are excited to partner with iTriage as this application allows users to have more control of their own healthcare at the same time allowing them to use a technology that is right at their fingertips making access to healthcare more convenient,” said Sylvia Young, President and CEO of Sunrise Health. “And with over 30 million visitors to the Las Vegas area, local residents aren’t the only ones who benefit from this application. When visitors come to Las Vegas, they don’t plan on getting sick. But it happens. By using iTriage both locals and out-of-town guests can quickly get information on new services and medical treatment options as well as ER wait times and connection to our 24 hour nurse advice lines.”

Built by emergency room physicians, iTriage aggregates healthcare information in a structured and actionable way, and closes the information gap between doctors and patients. As the healthcare landscape changes, iTriage continues to provide technology to empower healthcare consumers.

“We recognize the medical centers in Las Vegas as healthcare facilities providing leading edge technology to members of its community. Partnering with iTriage to push out average ER Wait Times on smartphone devices is another way that the people who live in and around Las Vegas benefit from what Sunrise Health is doing. This technology adoption speaks to their deep commitment to help community members make educated health treatment decisions through advanced technologies,” said Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO, Healthagen, developer of iTriage.
