Las Vegas, Nev. (August 21, 2013) — Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Lori Brown, DHA, RN, MSN, CENP, CPHQ, FACHE.
Brown will assume the role of CNO on September 23, 2013. She joins Sunrise from Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas where she has served as Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Executive for the past five years.
“I am excited about the opportunity at Sunrise and continuing to improve upon the solid foundation of delivering quality care to the region. I look forward to being a part of the team at Sunrise, as they continue to put patients first,” said Brown.
Brown brings a solid background of experience in nursing and patient care. Brown previously held executive positions with Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Children’s Hospital and Health System in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A Wisconsin native, Lori has her BSN and MSN from Marquette University and her Doctoral Degree in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.

She will be a tremendous asset to our team at Sunrise, as we continue to deliver the best care in Southern Nevada,” said Todd Sklamberg, Chief Executive Officer of Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital.
Brown is also a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Additionally, she has been involved in several research projects and served as an instructor.
