Sunrise Health Offers $5 Colorectal Cancer Kits for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

March 9, 1020 - Las Vegas, NV – The third most commonly diagnosed cancer in men and women in the United States is colorectal cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. Prevention and early detection through screening can drastically lower the incidence of colorectal cancer.

In recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the hospitals of Sunrise Health, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, MountainView Hospital and Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, will be offering EZ Detect kits to the community for only $5 through the end of March or while supplies last. EZ Detect recognizes the bowel problems synonymous with colorectal cancer and is the most modern, convenient and sanitary home test available.

Even though risk factors do not necessarily determine if one will or will not be at a risk for colon cancer, it is important to identify those at a potentially higher risk. Risks include, but are not limited to, those aged 50 and up, a person history or family history of colorectal cancer and ethnicity (African Americans are at a higher risk).

To order a kit, community members can call (702) 233-5300, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and ask for a colorectal cancer kit. After payment has been received, kits are typically delivered within two weeks.
